Call to Remembrance

Saturday 9th November at 7.30 pm St John the Evangelist, Park Street, Taunton  

Embracing the season of Remembrance-tide (All Saints, All Souls and Remembrance Sunday), moments of calm and time for reflection are the focal points of this concert which includes music by William Byrd (Justorum Animae & O Quam Gloriosum), Thomas Tomkins (I heard a voice from Heaven), and John Ireland (Greater Love).  The evening ends with Gabriel Fauré's Requiem.

The concert has a running time of 75 minutes - we look forward to seeing you.

Service of Nine Lessons and Carols

Monday 23rd December 2019 at 6.30 pm St John the Evangelist, Park Street, Taunton

Celebrate the true meaning of Christmas in this ever-popular Service of Nine Lessons and Carols by Candlelight which includes traditional Bible Readings, Carols sung by the Choir and well-known Congregational Carols..

The Service is open to all, but as seating is limited it is advised to apply for a Free Ticket:

 A collection (suggested £5.00) will be taken during the Service and divided between the work of The Phoenix Singers to support young singers and the continuing Ministry of the Church of St John's, Park Street, Taunton.

The Service has a running time of 90 minutes.  We do hope you will join us - what better way to start Christmas Week!
