Originally a chorister at Peterborough Cathedral and later a music student at Cambridge, Andrew Maddocks has spent all his working life in music education: first as a secondary teacher, then more recently as an adviser and a freelance consultant.

He works on behalf of The Voices Foundation, the London-based music charity supporting the development of singing nationwide in schools and the promotion of singing within local communities. He co-authored ‘Growing With Music’, a music education programme for primary schools based on singing.
